Minor Graduation Requirements

“What do I need to take to graduate with a French and Francophone Studies minor?

The French and Francophone Studies minor comprises 6 courses, and these courses begin to count towards the minor at the 1502 level.

The following three courses are the first three which will count towards the French and Francophone Studies minor.

FREN1502: Intermediate French II (3 credits)

FREN2001: French Language and Literature (3 credits)

** In order to progress with the minor after the 2001 level, you must take the 2600 level next. **

FREN2600: France: Literature, History, and Civilization (4 credits)

Beyond the three courses above, the minor also requires…

Three electives numbered above FREN1502.

Two of the three elective courses chosen by the student must be 3000-level French courses. Also note that FREN2600 serves as a prerequisite for all 3000-level French courses. These requirements are in addition to those of Fordham College’s core curriculum.
